LEARN TO SURF

Learn to Surf Package

The Maldives offers perfect Learn to Surf conditions from 1 st October to 31 st March.

Cokes Surf Camp & Colas Surf Camp have surf guides and instructors qualified by the International Surf Association. A range of soft top surfboards and all equipment required to learn to surf is provided by the surf camp.

During a six day learn to surf course you will experience the thrill and excitement that surfing delivers. Our guides will tailor the needs of all beginners in a concerted effort to have you up and riding the Oceans breaking waves. You will learn to surf the green face of a wave, not only the broken white water of a wave. Once you are turning your surf board to the left or the right you will think “Only A Surfer Knows the Feeling” and quite possibly be hooked for life.

Surf safety, Ocean currents, Wave understanding, surfing techniques, Weather conditions are some of the aspects of surfing you will learn.

To take away the most from a new surfing experience we have designed a six day Learn to Surf package combined with a seven day stay at Cokes or Colas Surf Camps.

HOW TO GET TO COKES SURF CAMP

Cokes Surf Camp is on the Island of Thulusdhoo, in the Republic of Maldives, just 15 kilometres north of the capital city of Malé and its nearby Velana International Airport. Fly in with one of the world-class airlines that run regular flights to Malé, then take a speedboat or a ferry and you’ll be at Cokes village in 40-90 minutes.

The Culture

Republic of the Maldives is a 100% Sunni Muslim Country.

Visitors should wear suitable attire when in a village or town. Both males and female should wear at least shorts and t-shirts. Bikinis and speedos are not appropriate to wear outside resorts. Alcohol is not allowed in villages or Male, nor served at Cokes Surf Camp. The local village communities are friendly and respectful and offer a warm hospitality. Tourism is very important to the Maldives, providing over 60% of the country’s income. Fishing is the other big industry in Maldives. There is a small but growing surfing community in the Maldives and they share the love of waves with the many nationalities visiting the country.

Don't just take our word for it

  • "Thanks for arranging the best 7 days surfing I’ve ever had. There were waves every day! I surfed Cokes, Chickens, Honkies, Sultans and Jails. Jails was by far my favourite, 4ft peeling right... I had some of the longest rides I’ve ever had.
    Ben (March 2017)
  • "In terms of vibe, it was the best surf camp I have stayed, and I have been in a few. Food is delicious. Troy is the best surf camp host I have met. Always worried about the customers, always in a good mood and always the first to go in the water pushing everyone else's limits. Really good experience was worth the traveling for these 4 days. Will be back!
    Tomas (September 2016)
  • "We enjoyed Cokes for the relaxed lifestyle, great view of great waves. (We did well!!) Brian and his staff and family were all great and very friendly. We really all felt like we were just staying at a mates holiday beach shack! We enjoyed being on the local island and just seeing the island life and meeting the other surfers.
    Linda (July 2016)
  • "All we had to worry about was waxing our boards and finding the best waves. The surf guides even made that easy. Cokes was fantastic value for money, the waves were magic and I'll be getting The Perfect Wave to organise my next surf trip.
    Morgan (June 2016)
  • "Cokes Surf Camp was extremely user-friendly and comfortable, making the stay totally pleasurable and relaxing. The crew are happily accommodating and great to get along with... no hesitations with any requests placed upon them. Been to a lot of places to diversify my surf travel experience and Cokes is the first destination I'd seriously consider going back to. Loved it!
